Patricia Gavin

Patricia Gavin is a painter whose work is tied to Key West and marine settings. She began painting for hurricane relief efforts in New Orleans and sold her first work Woman in the Vineyard there. She has continued to paint and teach yoga which took her to Key West during Covid. There she joined the Studios of Key West painting for their bi-annual shows in June and December.

In the artist's words

Patricia Gavin is a yoga teacher and former Air Force journalism professor. She began painting in college at San Francisco State University after a drawing class her freshman year at university of Maryland College Park. Her work became focused in 2008 after Hurricane Katrina and she sold her first work Woman in the Vineyard as part of an effort to raise relief funds for New Orleans. She holds a BA in Broadcast Arts and Aerospace Science and an MBA in eCommerce and Hospitality Management. She has taught yoga from Hollywood to Bollywood.
